The 26th CEA (UK) and 7th CEA (Europe) Annual Conference was held 4-5 September 2015 at the University of Nottingham, UK. The theme of the conference was: China’s “New Normal” Economy: Opportunities and Challenges. Chinese economic growth rate fell to 7.4% in 2014 from its peak in 2007 of over 14%, showing a strong sign that the Chinese economy is rebalancing from a ‘miracle’ economy to a ‘new normal’ economy.
Scholars were invited to submit theoretical and empirical papers on the following themes:
- China’s economic reform
- China’s economic growth
- Trade, foreign direct Investment, and China’s outward investment
- Innovation, Technology and Development
- Income distribution, education, healthcare and social welfare issues
- Environmental issues
- China’s political economy
- China’s fiscal and financial system and reform
- Real estate, capital market and corporate governance
- Agricultural and rural development
- Migration issues.
