The theme of the conference was:&nbsp;<strong>China&#8217;s &#8220;New Normal&#8221; Economy: Opportunities and Challenges<\/strong>. Chinese economic growth rate fell to 7.4% in 2014 from its peak in 2007 of over 14%, showing a strong sign that the Chinese economy is rebalancing from a &#8216;miracle&#8217; economy to a &#8216;new normal&#8217; economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scholars were invited to submit theoretical and empirical papers on the following themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>China&#8217;s economic reform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>China&#8217;s economic growth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trade, foreign direct Investment, and China\u2019s outward investment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Innovation, Technology and Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Income distribution, education, healthcare and social welfare issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environmental issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>China&#8217;s political economy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>China&#8217;s fiscal and financial system and reform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Real estate, capital market and corporate governance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agricultural and rural development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Migration issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 26th CEA (UK) and 7th CEA (Europe) Annual Conference was held 4-5 September 2015 at the University of Nottingham, UK.
